Ángel Salazar, the star of “Scarface,” has passed away at the age of 69.

The iconic film’s fans will never forget the moment when Chi Chi saved Tony’s life during the infamous “chainsaw scene.”

They will also never forget Chi Chi’s gory demise at the conclusion of the film, when his back is sprayed with gunfire by a hit squad contracted by drug magnate Alejandro Sosa.

Of course, Tony Montana is also killed in a barrage of gunfire by Sosa’s gun-wielding assassins.

In addition to his work in “Scarface,” Salazar was recognized for his portrayal of Tom Hanks in the 1988 comedy “Punchline” and his subsequent collaboration with Pacino in the 1993 drama “Carlito’s Way.”

Salazar was also a renowned comedian, starring in numerous HBO comedy specials and making an appearance on “Last Comic Standing.”

In addition to “Maniac Cop 2,” “Hot to Trot,” “Walk Proud,” and “Boulevard Nights,” there are numerous other notable credits.
