At the age of 70, Jill Jacobson passed away.

After a “long illness,” Jacobson passed away on December 8 at Cedars-Sinai Culver Health Center in Los Angeles, according to her friend and publicist Daniel Harary.

Who confirmed the news to Variety on Sunday, December 15. For her parts in Days of Our Lives, Falcon Crest, and Star Trek: The Next Generation, the multifaceted actress received accolades.

Earlier this year, Jacobson, a former American Cancer Society ambassador, talked candidly about her battle with esophageal cancer.

She spoke about how the sickness affected her life when she appeared on The Jim Masters Show in September.

“I had a very powerful experience. You just aren’t able to operate,” Jacobson said. And now that I’m so appreciative, all I want to do is keep helping others. It inspires you to assist others.
