by Republican Representative Jenniffer González-Colón, Puerto Rico’s nonvoting lawmaker. Additionally, it seems that the Trump party wishes to disassociate itself from the joke.
In a statement to ABC News, senior adviser Danielle Alvarez for the Trump campaign said, “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign.”
In retaliation, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has urged her Puerto Rican supporters to distribute the Hinchcliffe funny video to their relatives.
“Know that that’s what they think about you when you have some a-hole calling Puerto Rico ‘floating garbage,'” she remarked over a conversation with Governor Tim Walz.
