According to the US Attorney’s Office, Sangha conducted a Google search for “Can ketamine be listed as a cause of death [?]” after a family member of McLaury contacted her, alleging that her ketamine had murdered him.
On October 28, 2023, Perry was discovered deceased in his residence in Los Angeles. Ketamine residues were detected in his system; however, they were initially classified as an incidental overdose.
In May 2024, the Los Angeles Police Department disclosed that it would be conducting an investigation into the source of the ketamine discovered in his system.
