Blum was “pretty much” the first person Grohl had ever been really honest with, he said to Teen People in 2003. He said,
“I have nothing to hide now.” “Being honest is easy when you’re not trying to be someone else.” In the same year, Grohl said to PEOPLE that
he decided to revive his friendship with his now-deceased bandmate Taylor Hawkins because his 2001 opioid overdose had given him a fresh outlook on life.
