The decision about Jordan Chiles’ bronze medal has been made, and it’s not good. The gymnast from the United States will now be presented with the bronze medal that she earned in the floor event at the
Paris Olympics by her Romanian competitor Ana Barbosu, after the International Olympic Committee ordered her to relinquish the medal.
You may be aware that last Monday was the beginning of the whole affair… Chiles placed sixth in the women’s floor exercise competition with a score of 13.666.
However, because to the challenging nature of Chiles’ performance, her coaches were able to challenge the judges’ verdict and get a review.
The judges gave Chiles a tenth of a point bonus for her routine analysis, moving her up to third place and giving her the bronze medal.
