Co-stars of “American Pickers” honor Frank Fritz upon his untimely passing at the age of 60.

Following an arduous back operation that left him with two rods in his spine and 185 sutures, Ritz quit the program in March 2020. Thankfully, he lost 65 pounds following the procedure, and his health momentarily improved.

Fritz spoke candidly about his stay in rehab, where he received treatment for alcoholism, in an interview with The Sun in 2021.

Regarding his 77 days at the Abbey Center in Bettendorf, Iowa, Fritz said, “I had a great experience there and also assisted others who were experiencing difficulties.” It’s among the greatest ideas that have ever occurred to me.”

He then turned into a sponsor for those struggling with addiction. Fritz tragically had a catastrophic stroke at his Iowa home in July 2022.

Frank’s ability to make decisions was so severely compromised that his longtime buddy Chris Davis was appointed as his guardian and MidWestOne Bank as his conservator.
