Dame and Tony Award winner Joan Plowright passes away at age 95.

At the age of 95, Joan Plowright, an English actress who defined her period, passed away. According to a family statement released.

By the BBC and other British media sites, including The Independent, Plowright passed away on January 16 while surrounded by her loved ones.

In addition to being a British Dame, Plowright had her acting debut in the popular 1956 movie “Moby Dick” before making her dramatic film debut.

In the 1960 version of “The Entertainer” with Laurence Olivier, whom she would eventually marry. In 1989, Olivier passed away. Over the course of her multigenerational career, Plowright won.
