With the Delta plane’s tail at around 10:40 AM PT, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration, and the “aircraft were in an area that is not under air traffic control.”

Following the accident, several inbound planes were momentarily halted; however, an airport representative told TMZ that the incident has had a “minimal impact to airport operations.”
Jackie Patton, one of the passengers, told North Shore News that the experience was startling, with a loud “scary”.
Bang and a brief period of shaking. “Everyone’s reaction was one of shock,” she said. Nobody was aware of what had occurred.
