Holland spoke with The St. Louis American. ‘Why not me?’ it feels like. Because of my cancer, I now try to live each day with more meaning and intention.
Many have spoken out in love, sorrow, and respect for Holland, including her workplace, radio station, and co-hosts.
“The city of St. Louis will deeply feel the impact of Tammie, whose remarkable legacy in the radio industry spans over three decades,” said Foxy 106.9 FM.
On Foxy 106.7, Tammie was a beloved regular. Warm smiles, infectious laughter, and a genuine zest for life were hallmarks of her personality.
According to Aretha “Lady Re” Richardson, who co-hosts Holland’s radio show, she “opened doors for a lot of people,” as she told the local NBC station KSDK.
