According to investigators, Atkins’s postings reportedly began the inquiry after someone tipped the FBI National Threat Operations Center.

Starting on Monday, an inquiry into the claimed postings progressed by Friday night to find the suspect in detention after a traffic check in which Atkins reportedly had cocaine.

Currently housed at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center, the suspect faces two charges:

A second-degree felony for written or electronic threats to murder, cause bodily damage, or commit a mass shooting or an act of terrorism.
