Dylan still encounters hatred in spite of her achievements. She experienced a surge of hostility after changing her passport to formally reflect her gender as a woman.
Dylan, nevertheless, is able to deal with the criticism and keep it from affecting her. She is content with her current self. “And for my community as well as for myself, I want there to be mutual respect,” she said.
