Elon Musk is “endangering children” on X

Despite the US billionaire’s professed empathy for the victims of grooming gangs, Elon Musk has been accused of endangering youngsters on X by weakening protections against abuse.

According to specialists in child protection, Mr. Musk’s social media platform, which was once known as Twitter, has spearheaded a “race to the bottom on safety.”

It comes as statistics show that the corporation has drastically cut down on moderation employees, slashing the number of safety specialists in the last 12 months.

Mr. Musk has been using the service nonstop to draw attention to the child grooming gang crisis in the UK, putting pressure on the government and demanding a national investigation.

X has said that kid safety is his primary focus since he bought $44 billion (£36 billion) for the social network, canceling millions of accounts for breaking child abuse rules.

Safety advocates, however, said that the service was now more hazardous for kids due to website modifications and staff reductions.
