The ‘war’ between Eminem and Christopher Reeve, who plays Superman, has escalated. Before passing away in 2004, the actor—who gained notoriety for memorable performances in movies like Superman—became paralyzed in his latter years.
Even though he is no longer living, Eminem has addressed him 44 times in his songs over the last 20 years, so it hasn’t stopped.
Rappers often hint to a falling out or a larger controversy in their songs including the name of a celebrity, such as Eminem’s current battle with Machine Gun Kelly.
However, Eminem has clarified that this isn’t the case for Christopher Reeve, and in fact, his repeated allusions
are based on a recollection from his early years. He raps, “And let’s clear this up too; I ain’t got no beef with him either,” in the song “Rain Man.”
