Just before the program was scheduled to conclude, the assailant entered the community center, arrived in a cab, and left without paying, according to Chief Constable Serena Kennedy of Merseyside Police.
The attacker, a 17-year-old Banks resident, is still being held on suspicion of both attempted and actual murder.
