In a statement to The Times, a Peacock series official paid tribute to Hayes and said, “We share the passing of our beloved Bill Hayes with a heavy heart.”
Bill, who has been a fixture on “Days of our Lives” for the longest time, created the character of Doug Williams in 1970 and played him nonstop for the rest of his life.
