They were regrettably mistaken, as the Toe River rose by 22 feet, bringing the water levels to within inches of Alison and Knox’s one-story home’s ceiling.
As to the GoFundMe page created by Briana Petrucci Yarbrough, Knox’s sister, her brother and Alison were scheduled to tie the knot on November 9, 2024. She described how wonderful the family was and how perfect the life they had built had been.
Knox was an artist, composer, musician, beekeeper, and would-be blacksmith. Briana stated of her brother, “In addition to being an advocate for the Earth and bees,
Knox was always there for friends who were like family and inspired others in the way he moved through life with authenticity and boundless love and acceptance.”
She went on to say, “Brilliant and wise Alison was a most loving mother to the boys she shared and co-parented with their loving father, Lance Wisely.” Felix and Lucas were cute little boys who liked to paint and sketch and play Minecraft.
Lance Wisely, the father of the boys, posted the heartbreaking news of his children’s deaths—that of Alison and Knox—on Facebook.
