In 2025, Generation Alpha comes to an end, and Generation Beta begins.

The phrase “Gen Alpha” was created by futurist and sociological researcher Mark McCrindle, who claims that it describes anybody born in 2010 or later.

The offspring of millennials are among the oldest members of Gen Alpha, who are now about 14 years old.

Sheehan told “GMA” that they saw Gen Alpha as “the kids [who] are being born at this very moment, up until about age 12,”

Pointing out that there is “some fluidity” in identifying the generation, even though Dretsch agreed with McCrindle’s description.

For what reason are we discussing Gen Alpha? According to Dretsch, it’s critical to talk about Gen Alpha “for all of us to understand how we interact with one another.”

The area has seen a recent uptick in attention, she said, as businesses strive to “understand how these different generations of consumers approach and interact with the world so differently.”
