In a recent advertisement with a Gilmore Girls theme, Kirk (Sean Gunn) enters the cafe with a special delivery for Luke (Scott Patterson) after passing a local troubadour in the town square.
Lorelai (Lauren Graham) appears as he is leaving and exclaims, “Please, coffee, coffee!” Luke places a blue Walmart box in front of her and adds, “Coming right up.”
When Luke opens the present, he discovers that Lorelai has been given a Keurig coffee machine. “You shouldn’t have, Luke,” says Lorelai.
“I had to— you’re drinking me out of business,” he jokes. Fans are aware that the snow is Lorelai’s favorite, so the two walk outdoors and grin at it.
In a voiceover, Lorelai states, “Give the gift that shows you get them with top brands they’ll love from Walmart.”
According to a press release, the shop reunited Luke and Lorelai for the first time since 2016 “to celebrate love, friendship, and the holidays.”
