“We will continue to share Tamayo’s message of love, faith in Jesus Christ, and living life to the absolute fullest with the people you care about.”

Alongside Penélope Cruz and Ian McShane, Perry and Depp collaborated on the 2011 movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, in which Depp portrayed a gallant buccaneer.

In addition, he has had supporting parts in movies and television shows including Hawaii Five-O and Charlie’s Angels 2, which came out in 2003.

Perry was a well-known surfer who gained notoriety for his ability to ride the notorious Pipeline wave on Oahu’s Ehukai beach before he became an actor.

In an earlier interview, Perry had spoken about his experience trying out for the movie, stating that he and four other people had been chosen in 2010 from a pool of about 7,000 candidates.

Regarding the procedure, “I had to get pretty nasty to stand out,” he said. “There were some herniated squints.”
