Payne’s family released a united statement on Thursday, October 17, expressing their “heartbreak.”
It said, “Liam will always have a special place in our hearts and we will always remember him for his bold, witty, and kind spirit.
“We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time.”
Following his father’s passing, Payne’s ex-partner and the mother of his seven-year-old son, Cheryl Cole, said she would be watching out for the youngster.
