According to a source, ICE has been stepping up its operations in preparation for Trump’s deportation plan and asked ICE officers to volunteer to assist with at least part of the operations.
Officials with knowledge of the plan told ABC News earlier Saturday that the incoming administration has placed several Department of Homeland Security agencies on “alert,” including Homeland.
Security Investigations and Enforcement and Removal Operations, which deals with deportations. Federal agents deployed to the area were urged to prepare cases and activities.
That were “ready to go,” according to authorities, even though field personnel have not been given specifics about what will happen next week.
