When fans in line for tickets saw that the pricing had been increased to £355 and that the tickets had been repackaged as “in demand,” they were startled.
On social media, fans swiftly criticized the choice, with many calling it utterly unjust.
After receiving criticism, Ticketmaster reacted by informing LADbible that ‘promoters and artists’ choose show costs rather than the website.
The terms and conditions page of the website goes on to say that “artists and promoters determine ticket prices.” Prices may be set by the market or fixed. Platinum or In Demand tickets are those that are determined by the market.
Regarding ticket prices, fans who purchase via Twickets or Ticketmaster Fan-to-Fan will be able to pay face value plus a booking charge.
🚨 If you haven’t secured @oasis tickets then don’t panic, and certainly don’t buy on unofficial sites such as Viagogo & StubHub as these tickets will be cancelled.
Twickets will have tickets available soon. Register to receive our newsletter and we’ll let you know. pic.twitter.com/R5yRzdhsqd
