Olympic organizers respond to supporters who were outraged by the Opening Ceremony, calling it “satanic.”

“Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group,” she remarked, addressing a gathering of reporters.

“My art never contains any intention to make fun of or disparage somebody. In addition to bringing people together and fostering reconciliation, I wanted the event to uphold the Republican principles of liberty, equality, and fraternity.”

In reference to the’satanic’ images of the decapitated former Queen, he continued, “Certainly we were not glorifying this instrument of death which is the guillotine.”
