Pauline Quirke, 65, of Birds of a Feather, has dementia and withdraws from performing.

 

Her charitable endeavors, and her founding of the wildly successful Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA), Pauline has been an inspiration.

Where her vision and guidance has facilitated many young peoples’ progression and interest in the Arts and enhanced their self-confidence.”

In 2022, Pauline received an MBE in Queen Elizabeth II’s last Birthday Honours for her contributions to charity, the entertainment business, and youth.

Over the course of almost 28 years, Birds of a Feather aired for more than 120 episodes. It was resurrected on ITV from 2014 to 2017 after first airing on the BBC from 1989 to 1998.
