Before her death in August 2023, Sara was hooded, burnt, and beaten as part of a ‘campaign of torture’ that reportedly lasted two years. Sara’s uncle,
Faisal Malik, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for his role in the horrible murders, while Urfan and his wife were handed life sentences, but at least 40 and 33 years in prison, respectively.
The three grabbed Sara’s five siblings and fled to Islamabad, Pakistan, the day before her corpse was discovered, sparking a global search.
They were captured when they returned to the UK after four weeks of concealment. HM Prison and Probation Service has been contacted by LADbible for comment.
