Imane Khelif’s father has addressed the gender debate by sharing her birth certificate on live TV. Imane Khelif of Algeria and Angela Carini of Italy got into a heated altercation, and word got out.

The Algerian Olympic Committee issued a statement before the contest in which they backed their boxer and condemned the abuse she had received.
