Remains of a mother of four from Missouri discovered in the woods six months after her unexplained disappearance

Her skeletal remains were discovered and recognized by local police in a forested region of Missouri. In a Facebook message,

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the mother-of-four’s remains had been found on September 28.

“Sheriff Dave Marshak announces the discovery of the body of Emily Strite, a woman reported missing from Jefferson County, who was recently found deceased,” said the statement.

“On September 28th, Deputies responded to a wooded area near the 4100 block of Frissell Road in De Soto for a report of human skeletal remains found by the property owner,” the report said.
