“I don’t know how he’s doing it, he’s more of a man than I am,” he remarked, attempting to keep his marriage intact.
“He hasn’t committed any laws, but I don’t support what happened at the La Vergne Police Department either. Here, he is the victim. Nothing negative can be found on his record. He is performing really well.”
Seneca Shields, the detective, Sgt. Henry Ty McGowan, Sgt. Lewis Powell, and patrol officer Juan Lugo-Perez were among the other police let go.
Officers Larry Holladay (patrol), Patrick Magliocco (patrol), and Gavin Schoeberl (patrol) were suspended in the interim.
Later, Davis discussed the inquiry, the suspensions, and the terminations that followed.
“I want to be clear that the actions of a few do not represent this department as a whole, but this is a difficult situation for our department and for the city,” he stated.
