Shortly before turning eight, a girl passes away due to a 92-year-old motorist who “accelerated instead of braking.”

After ‘part of her head was removed,’ Stephanie was transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where her father told CBS News Miami,

she remained in serious condition. Just over two weeks before her birthday on September 21, she passed away on Friday.

Joany Figueredo, the girl’s father, is grieving the death of his daughter and feels that if driving age had been restricted, the accident would have been avoided.

“She struck my daughter, then struck the wall.” He told NBC 6 South Florida, “She got out of the car and acted like nothing happened.”

The lady was given a penalty for reckless driving while she stayed at the scene. It’s uncertain whether she will be prosecuted further.
