Subsequent to many stabbings during a Southport dancing lesson themed after Taylor Swift, a “major incident” was proclaimed yesterday.
It was revealed yesterday that two of the children who had been stabbed had passed away, and the guy who was detained for the ‘ferocious’ assault was interrogated on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
At 11:47 a.m., Merseyside Police said, officers responded to allegations of a stabbing and discovered many wounded youngsters.
“At this early stage, inquiries are ongoing to establish the motive for this tragic incident and we would urge people not to speculate while the investigation is underway,” the police stated after yesterday’s arrest after which they released the suspect.
“We can also confirm that the incident is not currently being treated as terror-related and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
