A little solace has been brought to a family that is still grieving after an unimaginable catastrophe. The bodies of two adolescent stepbrothers from Maine were discovered last week at a famous
Sanford bathing location, where they had gone swimming. It is heartbreaking yet indicative of the brothers’ closeness that their relatives revealed after their deaths that they were discovered clutching one other.
The family knows that they were together throughout what must have been a terrifying event, but they still don’t know what caused the boys’ deaths.

Tragically, Tavayne Weir, 17, and D’andre Graham, 16, lost their lives while enjoying a swim at the famous Springvale Recreation Area.
Also, there’s a 30-foot-tall cliff in the neighborhood, and people often leap off of it. People leap and climb on the rocks in the approved swimming area. There are lifeguards stationed at the pool all day long.
