The first meteor shower of 2025 will be visible to stargazers at the start of the year. The American Meteor Society (AMS) predicts that the Quadrantids,

One of the “strongest” displays of the year, will peak Thursday evening into early Friday morning. According to the AMS,

The Quadrantids may emit around 120 meteors per hour during peak activity, which is expected to happen between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. EST.

But according to NASA, the peak usually occurs over a much shorter period of time than most meteor showers.
