As the number of fatalities climbs, a man is detained on suspicion of igniting a fire in Los Angeles.

 

According to senior lead officer Charles Dinsel, a guy was detained after allegedly trying to set a fire, and footage from the site showed that he was taken into custody.

“Approximately 20 to 30 minutes later, a suspect was apprehended by citizens in the Woodland Hills area,” an LAPD official told The Telegraph. It is being looked into as a criminal offence.

Whether the suspect is linked to any of the flames that are wreaking havoc around Los Angeles is now being looked into.

Which has been raging in the West Hills, burning over 950 acres of land and forcing residents to evacuate. One of the fires may have been caused by an arson attack.
