The ‘post-traumatic’ reaction of Dick Van Dyke after he is forced to leave his house in Los Angeles due to flooding

His wife Arlene, whom he married in 2012, organized a small family meal to mark the Emmy Award-winning star’s 99th birthday.

The actor is now concentrating on celebrating his 100th birthday, according to The Daily Star, but the stress of having to be evacuated has left its impact.

“Dick was fine physically, but he is still shaken up; there is some post-traumatic stress coming from it,” an insider said.

In a sense, he found it difficult to accept that his neighbors had to save him since, at his age, he just couldn’t handle fighting a fire.

Dick has set out to live to be 100 years old, but he finds it depressing that he must increasingly depend on the care of others.
