The Sam & Dave duo’s “Soul Man” singer, Sam Moore, passes away at age 89.

 

Neither of the two had another big success after splitting up in 1970. He stated, “During those struggles, I did a lot of cruise ships,

I did a lot of oldies shows,” and he even served as the opening act for a group of Elvis impersonators. It’s amusing to reflect about it now. And I did a number of things.
