Tragic update after man’s daughter’s untimely death in overheated vehicle as he succumbed to a PlayStation addiction

There has been new information surrounding the case of the father who abandoned his two-year-old daughter in a sweltering vehicle as he played video games.

The 37-year-old father from Marana, Arizona, Christopher Scholtes, is reportedly facing enhanced charges for allegedly abandoning his two-year-old daughter, Parker Scholtes, in a sweltering vehicle for hours while he played video games, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Following the events of July 9th, a grand jury indicted Scholtes on August 1st, accusing him of first-degree murder and child abuse.

When emergency personnel arrived, Parker’s temperature had risen to an alarming 108.9°F, according to the Pima County Medical Examiner.

A preliminary autopsy determined that the victim had died from “environmental heat exposure,” the official cause of death.
