When Christians criticized the extravaganza for its woke mockery of the Last Supper, Paris 2024 broke their silence on the issue surrounding the opening ceremony of the Olympics and apologized.

‘#boycottOlympics’ and ‘#boycottParis2024’ were observed trending throughout the course of the next day on X, a platform that was once Twitter, which embittered spectators took to.

Many in attendance, particularly Christians, were incensed by the apparition of a “naked blue man” in a scenario reminiscent of the Last Supper.

“What a disgraceful opening to the 2024 Olympics #BoycottOlympics,” one person remarked. One more said they were “100% boycotting” the Olympics even though they “didn’t even care about them.”

However, US-based preacher Benjamin Cremer later posted an article refuting the claim that the contentious drag queen scene was a parody of Christianity and Leonardo da Vinci’s famous picture.
