“Now that I’m blind, it will be more difficult to do things I used to enjoy, like playing guitar and learning the piano, but I’m still optimistic,” she added.
“I think, ‘Well, it probably saved me from walking into a wall and hitting my face,’ when I stub my knee or toe.”
“Of course, sometimes I get really upset about my situation, especially on nights when I can’t fall asleep,” she said.
To be honest, however, I’m happier today than I was before to all of this. I would rather be blind than drug-dependent.
