A McDonald’s employee who identified Luigi Mangione will not get a $60,000 reward for an odd reason.

For a strange reason, the McDonald’s employee who recognized Luigi Mangione will not get the $60,000 incentive.

Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was shot dead on the streets of New York last week.

In Midtown Manhattan, the 50-year-old was shot in the back outside a Hilton Hotel on December 4, the same day he was supposed to host an investors’ meeting.

When a McDonald’s employee recognized him and notified the police on December 9, 26-year-old Mangione was arrested and charged with his murder.

Authorities offered a $10,000 reward to anybody with information on Mangione in an attempt to apprehend him during a manhunt.

Over the weekend, the hunt intensified, and the FBI supported the NYPD, increasing the prize fund by an additional $50,000.
