California fires updates: Death toll in Los Angeles fires rises to 24

 

About 5,000 buildings have been burned by the Palisades Fire, which started in the Pacific Palisades on January 7. At 17% containment, it has spread across almost 23,000 acres.

About 7,000 buildings have been burnt or damaged by the Eaton Fire, which started on January 7 north of Pasadena. It is 35% contained and has burnt more than 14,000 acres.

24 people have died in the flames in Los Angeles. The most recent count from the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner indicates that.

At least 24 people have died as a result of the Palisades and Eaton Fires. As authorities continue to combat the two flames, more deaths are anticipated.
