Danielle Fishel, the Costar for Sabrina Carpenter’s “Girl Meets World,” has acknowledged that she advised the singer not to release one of her hit songs.

 

In a charming Instagram post from 2022, Danielle, who is 18 years older than Sabrina, referred to her costar as “the closest thing I’ll ever have to a daughter.”

Sabrina was really a bridesmaid at Danielle’s 2018 wedding to Jensen Karp. In 2019, Danielle said that Sabrina will be referred to as her children’s “auntie” as she was expecting her and Jensen’s first boy, Adler.

Danielle has been Sabrina’s strongest supporter throughout all of this, especially when it comes to her music career, which didn’t really take off until this year owing to hits like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please.”

It’s important to note that, despite officially being in the music industry since 2015, Sabrina’s 2024 success was so remarkable that she received a nomination in the 2025 Grammys’ Best New Artist category.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Pod Meets World, Danielle said that she “sobbed through” the first night of her friend’s sold-out LA gigs and that she always believed Sabrina would become a major celebrity one day.
