Fans of Mac Miller were moved by the album’s devastating lyrics, which were published six years after his untimely death.

 

The time he released his eleventh mixtape, Faces, in 2014, according to a statement announcing the album’s release back in November.

His estate clarified that the ‘Nikes on My Feet’ hitmaker had already ‘commissioned artwork for it’, thus dropping the album was a priority.

“We believe the project showcases both the breadth of his musical talents and fearlessness as an artist,” the press release stated.

“Given that unofficial versions of the album have circulated online for years and that releasing ‘Balloonerism’ was something that Malcolm frequently expressed being important to him,

We felt it most appropriate to present and official version of the project to the world.” And now, seven years after his tragic death, fans may finally enjoy some brand-new Mac Miller songs.
