In the second aviation disaster of the week, an ambulance crashed into a US neighborhood, reportedly killing at least six people.

Only two days have passed since the worst aircraft accident to strike the United States in over 25 years, which occurred in Philadelphia.

Over Washington, DC, on Wednesday evening, an army helicopter and an American Airlines aircraft collided in midair.

The disaster claimed the lives of the three troops aboard the helicopter, the four crew members, and all 60 passengers on the aircraft.

One day before to the American Airlines tragedy, the plane had to be rerouted after a near-miss with a helicopter at the same airfield.
