Rose left her home in Marysville, Ohio, to trek in Alabama, according to WIAT. She often went trekking and camping since she enjoyed the outdoors.

According to Dana Rose, “it’s not difficult to know where you are once you learn to read a map.” Dana Rose stayed optimistic until her mother’s remains were found.
She told WIAT, “We really hope she just leaves those woods and wonders what the big deal is.” Rose’s abandoned automobile was discovered by authorities.
