He also created “ironclad” reproductive rights. Along with that, he was responsible for making Minnesota the site of a nationwide Beyoncé Day.
Walz worked as a social studies teacher, football coach, and union member before entering politics. During his 24-year tenure, he advanced to the rank of command sergeant major in the Army National Guard.
