A cluster of very uncommon disorders affecting genes, hormones, and reproductive organs are known as “Differences of Sexual Development,” according to Reuters.
“Some people with DSDs are raised as female but have XY sex chromosomes, blood testosterone levels in the male range and the ability to use testosterone circulating within their bodies.”
Rumors began to circulate when IBA chief executive Chris Roberts revealed to the BBC last year that “both cases” had male XY chromosomes. The IBA also noted that Khelif had elevated testosterone levels.
